DESCRIPTION: * WHAT...Two rounds of snow are expected. The first round from tonight into Sunday morning. Then the second round from Sunday night through Monday. Total snow accumulations from both rounds from 1 to 3 inches above 2500 feet. Isolated amounts over 3 inches across the highest peaks. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph. * WHERE...Russell, Washington VA, and Wise Counties. * WHEN...From midnight tonight to midnight EST Monday Night. * IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning and evening commutes.
INSTRUCTION: Slow down and use caution while traveling. The latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.

Cirrocumulus clouds form at high altitudes (usually around 5 km)
and have distinguishing characteristics displayed in a fine layer of
small cloud patches. These small cloud patches are sometimes referred to as
"cloudlets" in relation to the whole cloud formation.
Cirrocumulus clouds are formed from ice crystals and water droplets. Often, the
water droplets in the cloud freeze into ice crystals and the cloud becomes a
cirrostratus cloud. Because of this common occurrence, cirrocumulus cloud
formations generally pass rapidly.
