DESCRIPTION: * WHAT...Heavy snow. Lingering snow showers through the remainder of today with up to 4 inches of additional snow. Winds gusting up to 50 mph along Sierra ridgetops. For the Winter Weather Advisory, up to 4 inches along and east of Highway 395, 6 to 8 inches west of Highway 395, and up to a foot along the crest. * WHERE...Mono County. * WHEN...For the Winter Storm Warning, until 7 AM PST this morning. For the Winter Weather Advisory, from 4 AM to 10 PM PST Thursday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday morning and evening commutes. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.

Drizzle is precipitation in the form of water droplets which are
smaller than raindrops.
Drizzle is characterized by fine, gently falling droplets and typically does not
impact human habitation in a negative way. The exception to this is freezing drizzle,
a condition where drizzle freezes immediately upon reaching earth's surface.
Freezing drizzle is still less dangerous than freezing rain, but can
potentially result in hazardous road conditions.

Fog is technically a type of stratus cloud, which lies along the
