Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued March 10 at 7:43PM CDT until March 10 at 8:15PM CDT by NWS Wichita KS
AREAS AFFECTED: Kingman, KS; Reno, KS; Sedgwick, KS
DESCRIPTION: At 743 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 6 miles southeast of Pretty Prairie to near Cheney to 6 miles northeast of Norwich, moving northeast at 45 mph. HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. Locations impacted include... Goddard, Cheney, Garden Plain, Andale, Viola, Murdock, Waterloo, Lake Afton, Cheney Lake, Mt Vernon, and Cheney State Park.
INSTRUCTION: Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the basement or small central room in a sturdy structure. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Intense thunderstorm lines can produce brief tornadoes and widespread significant wind damage. Although a tornado is not immediately likely, it is best to move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. These storms may cause serious injury and significant property damage.

Drizzle is precipitation in the form of water droplets which are
smaller than raindrops.
Drizzle is characterized by fine, gently falling droplets and typically does not
impact human habitation in a negative way. The exception to this is freezing drizzle,
a condition where drizzle freezes immediately upon reaching earth's surface.
Freezing drizzle is still less dangerous than freezing rain, but can
potentially result in hazardous road conditions.
